Whatsapp message sent to Oxford Community Group from BIECM General Secretary - Syed Mahbub
"Assalaamualaikum.
After a frank discussion between ourselves and Bath Street Mosque and carrying out urgent risk assessments due to the given circumstances of the on-going Pandemic, we both have sadly agreed to suspend Friday Jumma prayers until further notice. We will review and re-assess risk in 2 weeks. We will resume services only once we have deemed it safe to do so.
We urge all the community members to keep us in your duas and to ask Allah (swt) to protect us all and for a speedy end to this Pandemic.
Jazak Allah khair.
